Sentinel and Program are guaranteed by
Novartis Animal Health Canada Ltd. ("Novartis")
**- Guarantee -**
WHEN GIVEN ON A FULL STOMACH, AT THE CORRECT DOSE AND TO ALL PETS IN THE HOME, lufenuron (the active ingredient for flea control in Sentinel and Program) is guaranteed to prevent the buildup of fleas that would otherwise occur in an untreated household. All pets in the household must be on lufenuron (Sentinel or Program) for the guarantee to be in effect.
**- Procedure -**
All cases of sustained flea infestations will be investigated by Novartis. If all labeled directions have been followed, and a preventive regime of Sentinel or Program has been started at least one month prior to flea season, and there appears to be evidence of new flea generations, Novartis will supply continued doses of Sentinel or Program free of charge. Novartis will also authorize whatever other methods of environmental control it deems necessary until the flea infestation is under control.
**- Please Note -**
An occasional "Hitch-hiker" flea does not fall under this guarantee as adult fleas may jump on your pet from the environment or from pets visiting the home that are not treated with lufenuron. Sentinel or Program will have no effect on these new adults other than to stop their production of viable eggs. These adult fleas will usually die within a few weeks. In cases where Sentinel or Program is started during an existing flea infestation, please discuss integrated flea control measures with your veterinarian. In areas with the potential for year-round infestations, it is recommended that Sentinel or Program be administered monthly, all year round.
Novartis must be contacted for authorization before other flea control measures are initiated as part of this guarantee.
