Actinobacillus (Haemophilus) pleuropneumoniae
ACTIVE INGREDIENTS:
PLEUROSTARTM APP is an acellular pentavalent subunit vaccine
prepared with recombinant derived antigens from Actinobacillus (Haemophilus) pleuropneumoniae. When
combined with the adjuvant, Emulsigen® the subunit vaccine reduces losses due to diseases
caused by serotypes 1, 2, 5, 7 and 9.
INDICATIONS:
For vaccination of healthy swine 6 weeks of age or older as an aid in
the prevention of Actinobacillus (Haemophilus) pleuropneumoniae with
serotypes 1, 2, 5, 7 and 9.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:
- The vaccine should be given to healthy pigs 6 weeks of age or older.
- Administer 2 mL intramuscularly in the neck region, immediately behind the ear.
- A second dose should be administered approximately 21 days after the initial vaccination.
- Feeder pigs: Administer the first dose (2 mL) at the time of arrival.
Growing & Finishing pigs: Administer the first dose (2 mL) at the time of arrival. Revaccinate when the incidence is high in a herd.
PRECAUTIONS:
Store at 2 - 7°C. Do not freeze.
Shake well before using. Use the entire contents when first opened.
WARNINGS:
Do not vaccinate within 60 days of slaughter.
Transient local and/or systemic reactions may occur following administration. If anaphylaxis occurs
following dose, administer epinephrine.
