CLOSTRI SHIELD® 7

Outbreaks of clostridial disease can be devastating to a cattle producer. Most animals die acutely before clinical signs are evident, and before treatment can be effective. Pathogenic clostridia are commonly present in soil and the intestinal contents of healthy animals, and are able to form spores and persist for long time periods in the environment. A herd prevention program is important to reduce losses.

Clostri Shield® 7 is a seven-way vaccine that aids in the prevention of clostridial diseases, including:

  • Blackleg caused by Clostridium chauvoei
  • Malignant edema caused by C. septicum
  • Black disease caused by C. novyi
  • Gas gangrene caused by C. sordellii
  • Enterotoxemia caused by C. perfringens Types B, C and D

Clostri Shield 7 is an ideal choice for dairy producers who want to reduce the risk of costly clostridial diseases. Ask your veterinarian for assistance on what vaccination program best fits your operation.
